Yeppoon

Day two at Yeppoon saw us making the most of the beautiful weather and spending as much "sunsafe" time at the beach as possible.  We stayed until mid morning....

Swimming and playing in the sand...

and building scary sand Crocodile's with Dad!!!

After some home Schooling, we were back out on the beautiful beach for a swim and a play, then home for dinner and finally, a walk along the beach until dusk.

Hayley is learning how the sun and the moon control the tides...
"Earth's tides are produced by the gravitational attractions of the moon and sun. Although the moon is millions of times smaller than the sun, its proximity to the earth gives it a tidal influence more than twice the sun's. Opposing the direct gravitational forces are centrifugal forces which produce a tidal bulge on the side of the earth away from the moon, resulting in two high tides per day for most locations."  Interesting!

We found some little crabs...

And Isabella overcame her fear...

"I know all about sand writing Mum"

Hayley can't believe how big the shells are here!!

She has the whole beach to dance on.

The moon gave us plenty of light to find our way back as we say goodbye to the beach for another day.

Until next time, Caz xo
